"GOING GLOBAL THROUGH ENGLISH LANGUAGE"

The English language is the most popular language in the world. This is because of many reasons which include the that fact that it is the international language which is used between states. In many countries located in Asia children begin to learn English from elementary school. They will usually study for more than three hours a week studying English

There was a though at one point that the language could would become global however this was not the case. On the other hand English has gained popularity and millions of people across the world speak it because of many reasons. These include listening to music, literature, gaining social status, improve job possibility. It is also used on internationally for many reasons, this is includes pilots and air traffic control, international policing, court cases etc. People also use English when on holiday as a second language even when they go to countries that have a different first language. Entertainment is also an important area because four or five songs from the top ten of many countries are sung is English. There is also an international university which can be accessed through satellite will also broadcast in English. Education is one of the main platforms used to teach the English language and countries have changed their education methods to facilitate the learning of English. People can also learn English through other means such as watching movies from Hollywood.
"EQUAL RIGHTS EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES"

It is disturbing to see that in society today I see as many unjust women as men. Most women have declared that women and men should have equal rights and I, as a woman, have to agree. However, many women today are abusing their rights for their benefit. What happened to equal rights? We may have equality in rights but we are not created equal, yet in some situations, e.g., in the workplace, many women lash out their anger and blame men. We are put on earth to do different things. We are built differently and we think differently. Naturally, women and men will have disagreements now and then. However, women must recognize that misusing their rights to take revenge for what men did in the past will not solve anything. Many women still believe that most men today view women as inferior, but when the fight for equality becomes distorted, women can be as sexist, prejudice and biased as men.
Many men have subtly degraded women for many years. It's either that many women do not notice it or choose to look the other way. In the essay, "Invisible Women", Yun Yung Choi explains how one man, Confucius, changed the lives of women for the worse in Korea. Choi states, "Throughout the first half of Koryo period, which lasted from 918 to 1392, and throughout the Yi dynasty, women were important and contributing members of their society and not marginal and dependent as they later became. Women were, in large extent, in command of their own lives." She also states, "With the introduction of Confucianism, however, the rights and privileges that women enjoyed were confiscated" (187). In her essay, Choi quotes from Confucian proverbs such as "Men are honored, but women are abased" and "A daughter is a 'robber women' who carries household wealth away when she marries" (187). Still today, many men have the same thoughts that Confucius had. I have worked with battered and abused women before. Many of these women are strong and educated, but they were still physically and mentally abused. Sometimes these men with their ill minds have gotten away with it. Why do some women let men get away with this kind of behavior? When women allow men to rape our minds of our thoughts and rob our rights, we are telling them we are insignificant compared to them. What makes men (and women) so special that they get away with injustice towards the opposite sex? Both men and women have to learn that they do not possess the right to mistreat the opposite sex.
Most women understand what women before them had to go through when they were degraded and treated as second-class citizens, but are women abusing their rights that many strong women have fought for? Many women who wanted to end discrimination at home and at work in the late 1960's and early 1970's started the Women's Rights Movement.

" CLIMATE CHANGE"

Climate change is a tangible problem and its existence can no longer be denied. It is one of the most important scientific, economic threats facing to the earth. There are many factors lead to climate change, such as greenhouse gases, carbon dioxide, fossil fuels. Although it would be self-deception to believe that humans had nothing to do with it, the fact is that human activities caused negative effects on climate change. More people exploit more natural resources, cut more trees, use more fossil fuels, produce more wastes, build more roads, dams and cities, pollute more soil, water and air, and contribute more greenhouse gases to the atmosphere, which may lead to the ozone depletion and global warming, i.e., ultimately damaging the entire environment and annoying the climatic change. Thus, man is capable of influencing global climate deliberately or inadvertently through his various actions and activities.

Because CO2 and other greenhouse gases are so long-lived in the atmosphere, enhanced greenhouse warming can be expected to persist for centuries. The impacts - many of which are effectively irreversible - will affect everyone on earth. Human health, patterns and intensity of precipitation, water and food supplies, coastal development, energy supplies, and the viability of natural systems: all will be affected if Earth's climate continues to change.

However, all of us can play vital part of the climate change solution. As a citizen, we can ensure that governments recognize the importance of global warming and follow through on their promises. As a consumer, we can support companies that are making the biggest strides in fighting climate change and encourage other companies to make reducing greenhouse gases a priority. If we’re really passionate about having our voice heard, we might even want to consider joining a group dedicated to spreading the world about global warming.

Essence of Christmas
What Christmas means to me - or what it should mean -

Christmas is about love. Caring about another over yourself, spending the time to do the little things to make the holiday special for loved ones. As a mother, it give me great joy to see my children and their happiness as they open presents on Christmas morning. I also enjoy watching other friends and family open a gift that I shopped for and seeing that they truly like it.

Christmas is also about togetherness. Being with the people you love, laughing, sharing a meal, sharing happy memories.

Christmas is about giving. Doing things for others - collecting food for the needy, helping with toy distributions to needy children. Remembering those less fortunate.
